Two Companies To Present Case Study of Successful Project at 2019 SALGBA National Conference
Brentwood, Tenn., April 2, 2019—Onlife Health, a national company with 23 years of expertise in delivering comprehensive wellness engagement solutions, helped MEABT (Maine Education Association Benefits Trust) achieve a remarkable 64 percent increase in sustained engagement after restructuring the organization’s wellness incentive program.
In addition to boosting sustained engagement, the customized incentive program also increased initial engagement by 24 percent and achieved a 23 percent decrease in members at risk for high blood pressure, a 41 percent decrease in members experiencing stress, and a 35 percent increase in members who were physically active.
To help other organizations maximize the performance of their wellness incentive programs, Onlife Health and MEABT will be co-hosting a session at the 2019 SALGBA (State and Local Government Benefits Association) National Conference in Forth Worth, TX, April 7–10. The session will be held Tuesday, April 9 from 9:30 a.m.–10:30 a.m.
Entitled “Wellness Programs for Public Sector Entities: Best Practices and Case Study,” the session will discuss how innovative program design, including wellness ambassador programs and communication strategies, as well as well-managed incentive administration can drive engagement, improve health outcomes and build brand loyalty.
Leading the discussion will be Catherine Bass, Ph.D., director of informatics at Onlife Health, and Michael Booth, wellness director at MEABT.
According to Bass, the session will be interactive and encourage audience participation to create a more dynamic and informative experience. “We’ll be taking questions and comments as we discuss best practices for program design and how implementing the right communications and building a strong culture of health can impact overall participation in a wellness program,” Bass said. “We’ll also be discussing the pros and cons of three incentive administration approaches and the best practices we’ve developed based on our experience in developing hundreds of incentive programs.”
More than 60 speakers will be featured at the 37th Annual SALGBA National Conference. SALGBA is the nation’s only organization that focuses solely on serving public-sector benefits professionals, providing its members with networking opportunities and educational support. “Onlife Health has almost 15 years of experience in implementing and refining wellness programs for the kind of public-sector entities that will be attending SALGBA,” Bass said. “We’re looking forward to sharing the best practices that can help organizations drive positive behavioral change and improve both wellness and financial outcomes.”
